Ten photographs on Fujicolor paper, 3 x 5". The back of the photo paper has a slight yellow glow.

Between Altamont and Live Aid, there was US Festival. Taking place two years in a row (on a three day weekend), the Festival was organized by Apple's Steve Wozniak. As a reaction to the Sixties, US Festival was not to be a celebration of the "Me Generation" but for everyone (including a two-way satellite hookup called US Soviet Space Bridge). US was organized into different music days and cost about $40.

These snapshots came from an attendee who maybe didn't want to get their camera too far into the action. Included are:

A. Crowd shot (in front of the majestic San Bernadino Mountains)and a view of the stage. It seems likely that the band playing was The English Beat (since its the afternoon and the crowd is thin, and the pop-ska outfit performed Friday afternoon.)

B. Something called the Sensonics Theatre. According to an old issue of InfoWorld, US Festival featured technology exhibits in eight tent. The highlight was the Sensonics Theatre where you (and 199 other participants for 20 minutes) could have a state-of-the-art sound and graphic experience.

C. Crowd shot and a view of the stage. It appears that a circus troupe is performing. If not a troupe, definitely a mime.

D. Crowd shot and a view of the stage. Notice the Apple-themed hot air balloon hovering behind the stage.

E. Cowd shot and a view of the stage. The crowd shot features a dude in stilts and clown pants, a woman dressed as a gypsy and guy wearing Yosemite Mountaineering School (Go Climb A Rock) t-shirt.
