In November 1967, after heading up "Impulse!" and later Verve Records, Creed Taylor arranged with A&M's Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss to begin his own organization, CTI Records. The label had four subsidiaries: Kudu, Salvation, Three Brothers and Greenstreet.
