Asia : DON'T CRY

Formed in London in 1981, Asia was an '80s rock supergroup. The most commercially successful lineup was its original, which consisted of four members of different '70s prog rock bands: lead vox and bassist John Wetton (King Crimson and Uriah Heep), guitarist Steve Howe (Yes), keyboardist Geoff Downes (Yes and The Buggles) and drummer Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake & Palmer). As far as Frank knows, there was no one in the group actually from Asia.

DON'T CRY was the first hit single from Asia's second album Alpha. It reached number ten on the charts and was the band's second top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, while returning them to number one on Billboard's Top Album Rock Tracks chart.
