Eric Clapton : HELLO OLD FRIEND
Eric Clapton’s HELLO OLD FRIEND was released in October 1976 as the first of two singles from Clapton's 1976 studio album "No Reason to Cry." Placing itself at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, the single was Eric's third mid-successful single to reach the Top 40 in North America.
Rolling Stone's Dave Marsh called the single "a whimsical and silly slice of attempted innocence”. While Billboard said that it has a reggae feel similar to his version of I SHOT THE SHERIFF.
