The Exotic Guitars : HOLLY HOLY
Ranwood was established in 1968 by Lawrence Welk and the president of Dot Records, Randy Wood. The label's name is a combination of Randy Wood's name.
Both men left Dot after its parent company, Paramount Pictures, was sold to Gulf + Western. Though it primarily re-issued older albums by Welk originally on the Dot and Coral labels, Ranwood also released music by Lawrence's musical compatriots and recordings by Ray Anthony, The Charles Randolph Grean Sound, and The Exotic Guitars.
