Earl Scruggs and The Earl Scruggs Revue : FOGGY MOUNTAIN BREAKDOWN

FOGGY MOUNTAIN BREAKDOWN was used as background music in Arthur Penn’s 1967 movie Bonnie and Clyde, particularly during the car chase scenes, and has been similarly featured in other films and television shows, especially when depicting a pursuit in rural settings.

In 2004, it was one of the 50 recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry.

This is a live version, recorded by Scruggs, in the wake of the song’s popularity in the late ‘60s.
