John Miles : SLOWDOWN

In 1976, Brit solo artist John Miles opened for Elton John on his Louder Than Concorde (But Not Quite As Pretty) Tour of North Americ. Miles also opened for other top artists during this period, including Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, and the Rolling Stones.

SLOWDOWN, also released in 1976, was his biggest US chart hit, peaking at number two on the disco chart, and at No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1977. Three years later, the cut was featured in the 1979 film Players, starring Ali MacGraw and Dean Paul Martin.
