LaVerne Tripp & The Family’s JESUS LOVES COWBOYS
LaVerne Tripp started singing in front of crowds when he was just two and a half years old.
When he was a student, he sang at local churches and eventually joined various gospel groups: The Rangers Quartet, Sierras, Jubilee Quartet, and Palmetto State Quartet.
In 1968, as their lead singer, he joined the Blue Ridge Quartet.
Eight years later, LaVerne left the Blue Ridge Quartet and became an evangelist. In 1979, he moved from Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Orange County, California, and joined the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
For 26 years, the Tripp (LaVerne, Edith (his wife), and their two sons, Robb and Terry) family reached millions of people every week on their musical TV show. They also traveled more than 100,000 miles each year, performing at 200 plus churches.
JESUS LOVES COWBOYS is from the beginning of their recording career.
