The Coupe De Villes released two singles in 1969 on Philly Groove. If there is such a thing as proto-smooth soul, FACE THE FUTURE is it. Polished vocals, lush instrumentation, and a mellow, very positive groove, but all with a slight edge. FACE THE FUTURE has been included on several CD compilations over the years, but it has never been repressed, reissued, or bootlegged on vinyl.
