As a singer-songwriter, Candy Lindell performed on the road for nearly 20 years and recorded several country hits, including COAST OF CALIFORNIA, which became a popular song among members of the armed forces serving in Vietnam. After leaving the music scene in 1969 to concentrate on raising her five children, Lindell became an accomplished artist and taught painting at her studio in Massachusetts. She died from COVID-19 in May 2020.
